Vuth Lyno / FNAGP residency 2016
VUTH LYNO
In residency from November 1st to 28, 2016
- Mr Grizard working at the Maison Nationale des Artistes, Nogent-sur-Marne.
For his residency at the Fondation Nationale des Arts Graphiques et Plastiques (FNAGP – National Foundation for Plastic and Graphic Arts), Vuth Lyno wishes to carefully examine the daily organization and life of the Maison Nationale des Artistes (Artists’ National House).
During his stay at the foundation, the artist intends to meet both with the medical staff and some of the residents who could be interested in exchanging few words with him both on their work and their life within this retirement house. The artist want to immerse himself in the everyday life of the retirement home without disturbing the habits and activities of the residents.
Vuth Lyno (b. 1982, Phnom Penh) is an artist, curator and artistic director of Sa Sa Art Projects, Phnom Penh’s only artist-run space, located in the historic and presently endangered neighborhood known as the White Building. Vuth’s practice is primarily participatory and collaborative in nature, engaging specific Cambodian communities and the cultures unique to them. Vuth holds a Master of Art History from the State University of New York, Binghamton, supported by Fulbright fellowship.
